Activation guide
Use the customer portal license key to activate Mongrel on the machines allowed by your plan.
1. Copy your license key
Sign in to the portal and open License. The copy button appears only when a license key exists for the account.
2. Activate inside Mongrel
Open Mongrel, choose the license or activation action from the app menu, paste the key, and submit it. The app records the activation through the licensing service.
3. Understand plan limits
Individual includes one seat with two active machine activations. Team, Business, and Educators include one active machine activation per seat.
Team: 5 seats.
Business: 25 seats.
Educators: 100 seats.
4. Replacing a computer
Open the portal Devices page and deactivate the old machine to free an activation slot. If the old activation is unavailable or cannot be removed, open a support ticket.
