Installation guide
Install the package for your operating system, launch Mongrel, then use the built-in trial or your customer portal license key.
1. Choose the right installer
Open the download page and choose the visible package for your operating system. The exact file list depends on the releases published by VisorCraft admin.
Windows packages can be .exe or .msi.
macOS packages can be .dmg, .pkg, or a zipped app bundle.
Linux packages can be .deb, .rpm, AppImage, tar.gz, tgz, or zip.
2. Install the package
Use the normal installer flow for your operating system. For Linux package formats, install with your distribution package manager so runtime dependencies can be resolved.
For AppImage files, mark the file executable before launching it.
For .deb and .rpm packages, let the package manager install dependencies.
If a Linux desktop keychain prompt appears, allow it so saved connections can use the OS keychain.
3. Launch Mongrel
The app starts a 7-day trial through the licensing service. You can install first, test the app, and subscribe when you are ready to keep using it.
4. Activate after purchase
After buying a plan, sign in to the customer portal, open License, copy the key, then activate inside Mongrel.
